The band doesn't really leave much time for anything else...I do a lot
of renovation work on the house (if that counts) and I am taking a class
on stained glass (for the renovation work on the house)
What
originally got you into drumming? For no reason
I can explain, I have always had a "thing" about drums from a very early age
(I used to play on coffee cans for hours which drove my family nuts).
Unfortunately, when I was old enough for the school band I was not permitted
to play the drums so I literally picked the trumpet because the trumpet
section sat closest to the percussion section in the concert band. Years
later, I accompanied a friend of mine to a local Highland Games because she
loved bagpipes. I didn't originally want to go, but she lured me in with the
promise that there would be drumming as well and that turned out to be a
serious understatement, it wasn't just drumming, it was the most incredible
style of drumming I had ever hears...it had to be fate...no more coffee cans
for me! |
