SFU Highland Arts
Festival
Many of Ulster's members spent the first weekend in May in New York City to participate in Simon Frasier University Pipe Band's Highland Arts Festival. The weekend featured an SFU concert at Lincoln Center on Friday evening, workshop classes Saturday and Sunday and a ceilidh Saturday evening. Ulster's grade 3 band had a private session Sunday with instructors Terry Lee, Alex Lee, Neil Dickie and Duncan Millar. What an amazing and beneficial weekend! |

We'll Miss You! Ulster Scottish is mourning the loss of its beloved matriarch, Judy Hall. Judy was married to Pipe Major Tom Hall, who passed away in 2005, for 45 years. Ever-present at practices and games, Judy was a vital part of the Ulster organization, preparing food at band gatherings, caring for the small children of band members during performances, and offering encouragement and honest critique. Judy will truly be missed by all. |
